small business saturday
Small Business Saturday,
is a day to patronize & show your appreciation for
your local shops that aren't owned by outside corporate interests.
They contribute directly to your local economy's health by
purchasing their supplies from other local merchants &
providing employment to local residents.
It is important to make this investment in our communities.
It follows Black Friday, & precedes Cyber Monday,
two days that typically undercut small businesses.
Giving Tuesday follows with an opportunity
for redemption through generosity to charities.
In this season of giving it's good to try to temper
our materialistic tendencies with compassion for others.
The slide show above features some of my favorite
small businesses.
