Welcome!

This is an archive of my song ideas from over the years.
Many are rough guitar/vocal performances recorded to a portable cassette deck.Later works were recorded to 4 track cassette and 8 track reel to reel with drums and more instrumentation to serve as demos.None were meant for wide distribution. Please excuse the rough edges!

This is me in the studio we made at Nation Wide Storage in San Bernardino Ca. Mid 1990's.

I'm a songwriter & guitarist who, like thousands of others,

thought I had what it takes to make it in the music business.
But, as John Lennon once said, "life is what happens while
you're busy making other plans". Time gets away, dreams & goals are put on hold & next thing you know, "10 years have got behind you",as David Gilmour of Pink Floyd  said, and now I'm a half century old! So, before my time is up, I decided I would put my stuff (over 100 songs) out there, for what it's worth, it is what it is, for my family, or anyone who's interested, to see another side of me. And this way I know my songs won't end up in a landfill somewhere. So please, check out the samples below, and if it intrigues you, I welcome you to explore further, this chronicle of my musical journey--
so far....
The menu above my guitar case will take you to collections of my songs & lyrics. Using the drop down you can go directly to individual songs.

Each month I will try to add more songs, lyrics, photos & videos until I have everything documented, so please check back from time to time.

              Thank you for stopping by!

Today marks the one year anniversary of the attack on the Capitol.
I'm flying my flag at half staff in remembrance
and to honor those that defended it & our
Democracy.

Sorry to hear of the passing of
Moody Blues drummer
Graeme Edge.

Breathe deep the gathering gloom
Watch lights fade from every room
Bed sitter people look back and lament
Another days useless energy spent
Impassioned lovers wrestle as one
Lonely man cries for love and has none
New mother picks up and suckles her son
Senior citizens wish they were young
Cold hearted orb that rules the night
Removes the colors from our sight
Red is gray and yellow white
But we decide which is right
And which is an illusion.
(spoken lyric at conclusion of Nights in White Satin by Justin Hayward)

I loved Star Trek growing up & this gives me hope...
you're never too old to dream.

Happy Birthday to John Lennon
He would have been 81 today.

10/4/2021

Today marks the 6th anniversary of my website!

9/19/2021

Had a great day at the Pink Floyd Exhibition
Their Mortal Remains

At the Vogue Multicultural Museum
In Hollywood.
The show runs through January 2022,
definitely worthwhile if you're a fan.
I saw them three times back in the day.

9/11/2021

It's hard to believe it has been 20 years since the attacks.
I was getting ready for work when Betty said something strange
was happening on the news in New York.
And things were never the same.
It's as if innocence was lost that day & anything that came before it
seemed somehow naïve. Any fun or lightheartedness was tempered
by the knowledge of what happened.
It's important that the generations that have grown up post 9/11
are aware of this brutal day & it's aftermath.
We have learned & lived through tragedy before.
Pandemics, Pearl Harbor, The Holocaust, social strife & assassinations.
Never Forget.
Here's a few links for added insight.
I liked CNN's Stephen Collinson's analysis.
Bruce Springsteen's 9/11 tribute I'll see you in my dreams.
Some 9/11 photos we'll never forget.
And Paul McCartney's song Freedom, in the video below,
which we got to see him perform in 2002.

RIP Charlie Watts. The anchor of the Stones. Kept them tight when they needed it & loose when they grooved. “Time waits for no one” but he sure could keep it.

Well, we're halfway through the 2020-2021 Tokyo Olympics &
I hope you are enjoying the games & athletes feats of skill, grace
and endurance as much as I am. So proud of team U.S.A & all
they've accomplished! All the competition has been so worthy too.
It's truly awesome to see all the different countries come together
in the name of sportsmanship & peace. With the pandemic still
raging & all the strife in the world right now, this is so needed.
Wish the harmony could last. Was heartened to hear
John Lennon's Imagine preformed during the opening ceremony.

I have a new song & video

Here's a video clip from 1988.

Click here for a finished, audio only version of Nothing can stop you.

Now that we've got the last 4 years behind us,
and Covid 19, hopefully soon, will be too,
I feel like maybe I'm:
Finding my way back.

Prologue

This is a simple acoustic guitar instrumental I found recently.Recorded open air to a portable cassette recorder, flawed but I like it,This is what much of my
Archive series sounds like.By the way, this picture is of the work shop at the Empire Bowl in Redlands California, where I worked for a few years.
